Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst is a key role in the team that serves as a strategic interface between the engineers and business stakeholders for the purpose of business solution discovery, risk management, and relationship management. The Business Systems Analyst works to understand the organization's business processes and applications, assists in the identification of business needs, and participates in the development and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works with stakeholders to understand, identify, define, and document business process and system requirements.
- Analyzes current business practices, processes, and systems to recommend process improvement and system enhancements.
- Acts as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the technical teams to translate and simplify requirements, ensuring mutual understanding and minimizing project risks.
- Plans, designs, and recommends business processes to improve and support business activities.
- Conducts feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency, and technical viability of solutions to business problems.
- Assists in the development of project plans and schedules.
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings with business and IT stakeholders.
- Monitors progress of projects, ensuring key deliverables are completed on time and meet business requirements.
- Participates in system testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Develops and delivers training to users, along with supporting documentation for new systems.
- Performing system testing to ensure it meets business requirements.
- Providing training and support to end-users.
- Maintaining system documentation for reference and training purposes.
- Reporting on system performance and efficiency.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of business processes and systems.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles.
Compensation range for position is $ 126,000 – 140,000 DOE.
