JOB SUMMARY
The Unit Coordinator works closely with the Unit Manager to ensure the unit operates smoothly and safely, and acts as a resource for Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi.
Must be able to read, write, and understand written and verbal communication.

Adhere to the scope of RN practice as outlined by the MS Board of Nursing.
Supervise and support the LPN and Nurse Assistant.
Adapt to change and prioritize work.
Demonstrate reliable attendance, reports on time and is ready to work at the beginning of shift.
Complete assigned duties, willingly accept assignments, and assist others to complete work on time.
Willing to support unit’s staffing needs by occasionally adjusting work schedule, staying late or working additional time.

Establish a safe, compassionate, caring environment for residents and their family.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position.
Ability to lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds.
