Location: McLeansville, NC (near Greensboro, NC); occasional travel may be required.What does a Buyer do?Our Buyers do just that – buy! Their role is to manage and coordinate product information to assist in the procurement process, all while providing exceptional customer service.What should I expect?- Provide expert knowledge of product by assigned vendors.
- Understand market conditions and logistics.
- Communicate the impacts to our business with a focus on maximizing business opportunities by examining and capturing emerging trends.
- Maintains and builds collaborative and professional partnerships with vendors.
- Negotiate effectively to obtain best pricing.
- Research and analyze sales history, inventory levels, and product requests to identify trends and suggest orders to best meet customer demands.
- Partners with marketing department to communicate unique or overstock purchases.
- Provides clear and concise information and direction to CEO, ensuring all communication is handled according to department standards.
What is required?- Minimum of 2 years buying experience.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products, like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to mange multiple tasks, priorities, and work in a pressured, high-volume environment.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
- Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
