Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, and other materials on commercial construction projects. The Commercial Carpenter will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Interpret and understand blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of structures.
2. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to project requirements.
3. Install structures such as framing, partitions, doors, windows, and hardware in commercial buildings.
4. Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples, adhesives, and other tools and equipment.
5. Erect scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures to facilitate construction activities.
6. Install and repair interior and exterior finishes, including trim, molding, siding, and roofing materials.
7. Inspect work to ensure that it meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
8. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, to coordinate construction activities.
9. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
10. Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Commercial Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials used in commercial construction.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
4. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring devices.
5. Excellent attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
6. Physical strength and stamina to lift and maneuver heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
7. Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
10. Must Have OSHA 10
11. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred.
