Job Description

Join our Engineering team as a Drafter CAD Operator, where you will play a pivotal role in transitioning prototypes into actual production models.

Utilize your expertise in CAD to create both 2D and 3D models for castings, plastic products, and tooling designs. This is a critical role aimed at enhancing our production capabilities and improving our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure designs meet the interdependencies of part and tool design, with a strong understanding of manufacturing drawings.
• Create detailed layouts to depict functional relationships of components and systems.
• Generate illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications.
• Engage with the engineering team and pattern supervisors to develop tool drawings, including foundry patterns, Blow Molds, and Injection Molds.
• Conduct 3D scanning for reverse engineering and support the Sr. Design Engineer from the design phase through to production.
• Operate and maintain SLA 3D printers for tooling and prototype product printing.

Requirements

Qualifications :

• Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field, or completion of a comprehensive CAD certificate program.
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing / tooling design, with specific experience in foundry tooling highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in 3D scanning and 3D printing is essential.
• Experience with Blow mold and injection mold design is advantageous.
• Familiarity with FEA and Casting Process Simulation software is a plus.

Requirements

Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, high level of proficiency in project management, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, expertise in PLC Siemens (Simatic S7-1500), proficiency in HMI Siemens WinCC and VFDs (Sinamics, SEW, Lenze), proficient in reading electrical diagrams and European schematics, skilled in online code monitoring, modification, and development, experienced in automation control system startups, loop tuning, and troubleshooting.
