About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our team at a high-end stone countertop fabrication shop. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and fabrication-ready designs for custom countertops. Your work will ensure that each project aligns perfectly with client specifications, design standards, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate CAD drawings for custom stone countertops using client-provided measurements, templates, and design specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Translate field measurements and templates into shop drawings, ensuring precision for cutting and fabrication.
• Review and revise designs based on client feedback and production constraints.
• Maintain a detailed and organized CAD file database for active and completed projects.
• Communicate effectively with the production team to address any design challenges or adjustments.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and materials to continuously enhance designs and processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Experience with stone or countertop-specific software (e.g., Slabsmith) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication processes.
• Previous experience in stone countertop fabrication or a related field is highly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of design.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
