Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining security systems to ensure the safety and protection of our organization.
Duties:
- Design and implement security systems based on client requirements
- Conduct site surveys to assess security needs and identify potential vulnerabilities
- Install and configure security equipment, including cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other related devices
- Test and troubleshoot security systems to ensure proper functionality
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on security system operation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security systems with other infrastructure components
- Monitor security systems for any signs of intrusion or suspicious activity
- Respond promptly to security incidents and take appropriate action
- Maintain accurate documentation of security system configurations, procedures, and incidents
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of system design principles and practices
- Mechanical knowledge for installation of security equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics for system installation
- Familiarity with computer hardware and networking concepts
- Experience as a service technician in the security industry is preferred
- Proficiency in cabling techniques for proper installation of security devices
- Knowledge of intrusion detection systems (IDS) and their operation
- Familiarity with hand tools used in the installation and maintenance of security systems
- Basic understanding of electrical principles for connecting security devices
