    Job Description

    Summary of Work:

    The Senior Health Planner (Data Manager) supports the Florida Community Health Worker Coalition’s Community Health Promotion Programs and planning efforts. Specifically, this position will be involved in the collection of data, coordination of community and population-based health studies and programs; researching health indicators, trends and conducting assessments, surveys, presentations; data analysis and evaluations, managing information and platform, training end-users; and staff supervision.

    Supervision:

    The Senior Health Planner will function under the direction and guidance of the executive director and/or other designee.

    Educational Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, epidemiology, human services or related field required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitudes:

    · Solid understanding of statistics/epidemiology preferred.

    · 3 years of management experience, ideally with a health and community-based organization.

    · Advanced proficiency using a computer and conducting internet research.

    · Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.

    · Familiarity gathering data on health indicators preferred and understand health indicators/ health data.

    · Excellent organizational skills: ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work independently, and maintain timely, detailed, and accurate records; ability to proactively plan and manage tasks.

    · Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to develop productive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, funders, and other professionals and to work effectively as part of a team.

    · Ability to effectively and professionally articulate information verbally and in writing.

    · Comfortable speaking and presenting in group settings, meetings, and conducting training.

    · Strong problem-solving skills.

    · Familiarity with the Community Health Worker (CHW) model preferred.

    Core Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Establishes and maintains various datasets in support of the agency’s planning functions.

    · Manage and organize data to ensure its accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.

    · Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.

    · Lead the design and maintenance of databases and data systems.

    · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements

    · Oversee data collection processes and ensure compliance with data protection regulations

    · Ability to identify gaps in data and resources.

    · Provide support to the executive director and program director including gathering data, drafting presentations and reports, assisting in training, and attending meetings.

    · Provide support for the health program and health planning activities of the agency, including, but not limited to preparation of reports and presentations, planning of, preparation for and assistance during meetings and agency events, assisting with trainings and focus groups, assist and provide data for grant-writing activities of the agency.

    · Proficiency in varied Data methodologies

    · Strong leadership skills with experience in project management

    · Knowledge of data collection techniques and tools such as Qualtrics, and survey monkey, etc.

    · Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

    · Update and maintain content for the agency website.

    · Assist, as necessary, with all agency audits, monitoring, and site visits.

    · This position may require night and weekend hours and local and state travel.

    · Reliable transportation required.

    · Data Collection: 2 years (Required)

    · Valid State of Florida Driver’s License with appropriate insurance coverage.

    · Ability to travel statewide, as needed.

    · Physical demands are minimal for this position and may include sitting, standing, walking reaching, light-lifting (less than 25 lbs.).

    Salary Range: $46,032.48 - $52,000
