Additionally, Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) uses the Safety Management System (SMS) to identify, mitigate, and manage risk in operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Serves as Headquarters USINDOPACOM Joint Awards Program Support, leading timely execution of high visible tasks
- Provides support for administrative and personnel management functions, incorporating a variety of services essential to the direction and function of the Operations Directorate
- Assists the J1 Directorate Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) as necessary in making foreign disclosure (FD) determinations on issues involving the directorate
- Facilitates HQs, Services, and Office of the Secretary of Defense level approvals for USINDOPACOM award submissions and tracks awards completion / provides weekly status briefs up to Flag Officer/General Officer (FOGO) levels
- Supports development and reviews/screens complex staffing packets for J1, J10, Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander, or Commander USINDOPACOM
- Trains Action Officers on process and packet development, providing key Executive Correspondence examples and guidance to support task submission
- Supports training, development, packaging and reviews/screens staffing packets for Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander, COMUSINDOPACOM and SECDEF approval
- Coordinates and implements all internal account controls, provides system training, and assists with user issues
- Drafts implementing instructions for major administrative and policy matters
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated experience in the following DoD civilian personnel software systems:
- Task Management System (TMS)
- Foreign Disclosure Management System (FDMS)
- Must have proven experience drafting documents and implementing classification standards to stakeholders at the Flag Officer General Officer (FOGO) level
- Ability meet demanding deadlines, organized, and effective communicator
- Potential occasional travel required; CONUS and OCONUS
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must have a current Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
