Carpet Installer measures, installs, and cuts carpet and rugs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience. Being a Carpet Installer has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Carpet Installer works under immediate supervision. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Cleaning carpets, tile &grout, and hard wood floorings at both residential and commercial locations.
-Water mitigation and restoration, can include demolition occasionally.
-Required to lift moderate to heavy equipment, such a dehumidifiers, fans, wet carpet and flood related objects. Climbing stairs, pulling hoses, bending over, pushing and pulling motions of the cleaning wands. Standing and walking for long intervals and tasks that require being on the floor on ones knees for demolition jobs.
-Varied work hours, the typical work day will start at 7:30 am however, there may be days that start earlier or later depending on the scheduled work appointments.
