Job Summary
The Access Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the security and safety of facilities by implementing and maintaining access control systems. This position involves designing, building, and managing security systems that include Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), fire alarms, and other related technologies. The specialist will work closely with clients to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance overall safety.

Duties

• Design and implement security systems tailored to client specifications.
• Build and install access control systems, ensuring they meet industry standards.
• Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and maintain existing security systems.
• Telecommunicate with clients to provide support and guidance on system usage.
• Perform locksmithing duties as needed to ensure secure access points.
• Detect potential security vulnerabilities through regular inspections and assessments.
• Read and interpret schematics for installation and maintenance of security equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall effectiveness of security measures.

Skills

• Proficiency in security system design and implementation.
• Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and fire alarm systems.
• Strong field service skills with a focus on troubleshooting technical issues.
• Knowledge of locksmithing principles and practices.
• Ability to detect vulnerabilities within existing systems and recommend improvements.
• Familiarity with reading schematics for various security devices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective telecommunication with clients.

Be willing to aquire MS lic if not already valid. This is a contract position but will pay time and a half on contract/special conditions.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
