Position Overview
The Case Manager is responsible for coordinating patient care to a population of different ages within the Singing River Hospital System; focusing on clinical quality and resource management resulting in defined clinical, satisfaction and financial outcomes.The Case Manager must adhere to professional Standards of Nursing Practice as defined under the leadership and direction of the Nurse Executive.The Case Manager must be able to work effectively under pressure, multitask and be self-directed.Case Managers must have strong written and oral communication skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, conflict management and team-building skills,and strong organizational skills.The Case Manager must have the ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneously with minimal errors.
Education Certification Experience Physical Demands
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred.
Must be currently registered with the Mississippi State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Acute care experience within the previous 5 years that has relevance to the practice of Case Management.
Must be able to stand, bend, and lift. Must be able to sit for extended periods and possess good visual acuity. Must be able to tolerate extensive walking.
