Being a Case Manager - Alcohol or Drug works with management to maintain and improve overall quality of services. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. Additionally, Case Manager - Alcohol or Drug requires a valid Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor(LCDC) license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Case Manager - Alcohol or Drug occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. CADA (The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse) is seeking a motivated individual to support our clients and staff at our adolescent substance abuse treatment program in Santa Maria.
As an important member of our team, the Case Manager/Office Assistant interacts with our clients (adolescents & their families), helps connect them to support services, working closely with our treatment team to help move adolescents on the path toward recovery and health. The position also provides help with basic office functions, coordinating the day-to-day office activities and creating an organized and well-functioning office environment.
This is an interactive and fun work environment that is a good fit for someone who is self-motivated, friendly, and has a desire to help others.
Training in the field of substance abuse counseling and case management is on-going with this position, which provides opportunities to develop skills in the field of client care, counseling, and case management.
Qualifications:
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) required· Excellent communication skills (oral & written)· Organized· Ability to multi-task· Basic computer skills· Prior experience in customer service/relations is a plus.
For the Case Manger portion of this position, we offer supervised hours toward Certification as AOD Counselor and/or Clinical Supervision for therapists, social worker, etc. as needed.
Position is 40 hrs/wk M-F 10:30am-7pm.
Possibility of part time 25-30 hrs per week 2pm(or earlier)-7pm for the right candidate.
Possibility of working around school schedule if available afternoon/evenings.
Compensation: $22.00-$25.00/hr depending on experience and qualifications. Increases for bilingual & relevant experience.
