Clarksville Area Urban Ministries’ SafeHouse program provides residential and non-residential services to Survivors of Domestic Violence. We are looking for a trauma informed and empathetic Non-Residential Case Manager to join our diverse and inclusive team.
BASIC FUNCTION: Maintains primary responsibility for managing all aspects of an individual’s or family’s case plan for safety, healing and transitional goals. Ensures a safe, consistent, and trauma informed response to program participants. Engages in community awareness and education.
REPORTS TO: SafeHouse Non-Residential Program Manager, or SafeHouse Program Director in the absence of the Non-Residential Program Manager.
PURPOSE: To provide support and advocacy to Non-Residential Survivors who request case management and supportive services, but do not need emergency shelter.
HOURS OF WORK: This position generally works Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM (includes a clock out for a thirty-minute lunch). however, this position has on-call responsibilities and flexibility requirements to cover community events or Client needs that occur outside normal business hours, and general needs of the agency. In addition, attendance is required at monthly staff meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree or higher in a human services related field preferred; however, education will be considered in combination with experience working with Survivors of Trauma. Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required. Knowledge of and sensitivity to Survivors of trauma and the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence. Openness to work in a diverse and inclusive environment. Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated communication skills, knowledge of community resources and the ability to respond calmly in crisis situations is imperative. A combination of education, training, work, and life experience will be considered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $35,568 annual salary. Paid leave and monthly stipend for health insurance available once new hire probationary period concludes.
