Job Title: Human Resource Specialist
Faribault Public Schools is seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist to start June 3rd, 2024. This salary for this position starts at $25.90 per hour with a competitive benefits package including full single health and dental insurance, state pension retirement and generous paid time off.
Essential Functions:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting the human resources programs and services of the District. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; employee selection and recruitment, employee onboarding and orientations, human resource planning, employee relations, substitute/on-call employee management, collective bargaining agreement administration; human rights administration, personnel investigation and collaboration with administration, state reporting, overseeing labor legal requirements and compliance, project management, resolve work-related issues, and HRIS system training and management.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent knowledge and ability to operate computers, software, printers and other office equipment. In addition, they will exhibit computer literacy with Microsoft, HRIS, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Google Apps, and Frontline. The Human Resources Specialist will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to individuals, groups and the public. Candidates must be able to work with limited supervision while upholding the highest degree of confidentiality and must be a proven team player. This position is a key member of a high functioning department; the ability to carry out multiple projects simultaneously, easily shifting priorities in a calm and professional manner is necessary to be successful in this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/S Degree in business administration, human resources and/or related field is highly preferred but not required. At least three years of relevant and current experience working in a human resources setting is highly necessary. Current SHRM, PHR, HCI, HRCI or other relevant organizational certification is preferred.
Twelve month, full-time position. Board Approved Employee Agreement. Benefit eligible position. Paid holidays, personal days, sick days and vacation.
