Job Purpose

The Team Lead, Cash Management is responsible for the activities and overall functions of Cash Posting and Credit Management staff.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor Credits workflow, compile status and work – volume reports for management
• Perform training with Credits workflow team
• Assist with development and maintenance of policy and procedures 
• Track and identify process improvement opportunities in client system clearing accounts and work queues 
• Field questions from account representatives and clients
• Support Cash team with issues pertaining to missing remits / deposits 
• Identify areas of opportunity to covert check & paper eob to ACH and ERA, coordinate with Provider Enrollment
• Conduct a monthly trending of payment types and pay to address discrepancies 
• Monitor, assign and confirm completion of incoming MCX Cash email box
• Monitor, assign and confirm completion of incoming MCX Credits email box
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
• Maintain a professional attitude 
• All other duties as directed by Supervisor / Manager

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Proficient in use of email and internet
• Accurate keyboard skills
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Knowledge of administrative procedures
• Knowledge of healthcare administration a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Strong written and verbal skills required

Working Conditions

• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear. 
• Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
