As an Event Coordinator for Modern Catering, you will play a key role in assisting Catering Sales Managers in planning and executing a variety of events, ranging from corporate gatherings to nonprofit functions and weddings. At Modern Catering, we prioritize providing exceptional customer service and personalized attention to our clients, making sure that every event is executed seamlessly.
As an Event Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with Catering Sales Managers to create and distribute BEOs- Coordinating with Catering Sales Managers to print signage for events
- Managing rental orders and making revisions as needed
- Participating in site inspections and overseeing event setup
- Creating Event Manager Packets for each event
- Working on-site events and deliveries as needed
- Researching and securing ancillary vendors such as DJs, valet services, and entertainment
- Leading and motivating on-site teams in conjunction with Event Managers
- Facilitating tastings for clients
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Supporting team goals and stepping in for Catering Sales Managers when necessary
- Collaborating with internal departments to ensure event success
- Ensuring quality standards are met throughout the event
- Addressing any post-event issues with staff or clients
- Staying updated on industry trends and developments
- Managing final payment for events and processing online orders
- Assisting with event pack up and setup
- Performing Front and Back of House duties as needed
- Sending review and gratuity emails to clients after events
- Taking photos at events and sharing on social media
- Creating diagrams of buffet and station setups
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
