As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and meets the expectations of our clients.

Duties

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including corporate meetings, weddings, fundraisers, and community gatherings.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and kept within limits.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences for each event.
• Oversee event marketing efforts to promote events through various channels.
• Coordinate logistics such as catering, transportation, audiovisual equipment, and decor.
• Manage on-site operations during events to ensure everything runs according to plan.
• Evaluate the success of each event through feedback and metrics to improve future planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management related to events.
• Experience with fundraising initiatives is a plus.
• Ability to negotiate contracts effectively while maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
• Knowledge of event marketing strategies to attract attendees.
• A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail to ensure flawless execution of events.

Pay: $18.47 - $19.47 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
