Ceramics Engineer jobs in Canton, OH
Ceramics Engineer develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Quality Engineer
Summary:
As Quality Engineer, you work with customers, production, and management to ensure the quality and compliance of finished sheet. You will keep accurate records of customer complaints and returns, corrective actions, procedures, and QMS data.
Responsibilities:
· Work directly with engineering and production to address, correct, and prevent customer complaints.
· Control of non-conforming product
· Manage the RMA (returns) database and develop reports.
· Write procedures and help manage the QMS.
· Analyze and data mine quality issues and process capabilities.
· Lead continuous process improvement projects.
· Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and qualification efforts.
Job Requirements:
· 2-year engineering or technical degree or equivalent education or experience
· Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and ERP software experience
Preferred Experience
· 2 years of manufacturing experience
· 2 years of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
· 2 years of quality experience
· CMM or FARO inspection experience
