Ceramics Engineer develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer requires a bachelor's degree.     Engine Power Components is an IATF 16949 certified, global leader in camshaft design and production. We serve a worldwide customer base and supply many diverse market segments. If it has an engine, we probably supply a camshaft for that application. We service heavy duty on and off-road markets, marine and recreational vehicles, light duty trucks, passenger cars, motorcycles, auxiliary power units, racing and high-performance vehicles, and large high horsepower applications for large ships, locomotives, mining equipment and power generation. Excellent customer relationships with some of the best known, globally recognized engine manufacturers, together with talented and dedicated staff, have allowed Engine Power Components to grow from a small operation founded in 1979, to one of the leading camshaft suppliers in the world today.

    As Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

    • Participate with other team members to launch new products and improve manufacturing processes of existing products.  This includes new technology testing and evaluation, feasibility studies, capacity analysis, and routing determination.
    • Manage the Advanced Product Quality Planning process, including the Production Part Approval        Process, for assigned projects or programs to completion that meet customer deadlines.
    • Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
    • Train appropriate process stakeholders in new or improved process requirements.  Ensure trainee capability. 
    • Complete all tasks accurately and on time, including specifying, developing, validating, and installing new equipment and tools; performing failure modes and effects analysis; developing process control plans and process flow diagrams; designing parts or fixtures; creating manufacturing cell layouts; drafting CAD/CAM drawings; programming gages and machine tools; and specifying materials and outside processes.
    • Assist sales team with engineering support, including preparing estimates, quotes, and schedules.
    • Complete corrective action reports in a timely manner.

    As an ideal candidate for Manufacturing Engineer, you would:

    • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering or related field of study.  Nondegree candidates with substantial relevant experience will be considered for an engineering technician position.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent software skills, including CAD/CAM systems, Microsoft Office products, and ERP systems.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Successful completion of post-offer drug and alcohol test and criminal background check.
    • Eligible to work in the United States.
