Being a Ceramics Engineer researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
