Job Details

Schedule | Base schedule is a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Work from home up to 50% of the time with supervisor approval.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be the anchor of our engineering services team. Project types include multi-story office buildings, recreation centers, high-end residential homes, large warehouses, and others. Materials include reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, cold-form, and timber.

Job Responsibilities

• 100% hands on approach in the origination of analysis, design, calculations, drawings, and specifications to create Construction Documents for large conventional building projects
• Establish Western Steel Building typical details, standards, and calculation templates
• Assist in proposals and business development
• Oversight and mentorship of engineering team
• Serve as Engineer of Record
• Peer review work originated by others
• Address technical issues during construction
• Field walkdowns and drafting field reports

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural focus
• 10-15 years of experience in structural design
• Licensed PE and SE
• Serving as Engineer of Record
• Currently managing a diverse team in the completion of multiple projects through design and construction phases
• Highly organized, self-motivated, strong communicator, and respected leader
• Proficient in Revit for Construction Document origination
• Proficient in MathCAD for developing calculations
• Proficient in Ram Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar for completing structural analysis
• Advanced knowledge of CSI MasterFormat specifications
• Advanced knowledge of engineering codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE7, etc)
