Certified Medication Technician jobs in Fayetteville, AR
Certified Medication Technician administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Administers medications using proper dosage, route, timing, and techniques. Being a Certified Medication Technician verifies the identity of the patient receiving medication. Records the name of the drug, the dosage, the time of administration, and any other relevant information on specified forms or records. Additionally, Certified Medication Technician takes vital signs and observes patient to detect response to medication. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
CMA Description of the Position :
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide Residents with routine daily nursing care delivered in a compassionate attitude and in accordance with our established nursing care procedures and philosophies as may be directed by your supervisors.
As a CMA, you will be responsible for assuring that all residents are given their medication in a timely and orderly manner, as well as maintaining proper documentation and ordering from the pharmacy.
We are a team-driven facility, so you will be asked to step in and help, wherever needed, and the rest of your team is asked to do the same for you!
CMA Requirements :
- Must be able to bend, walk, stand, lift, carry, push, and handle equipment, supplies or patients exceeding 50 pounds
- Must function independently and have flexibility (rotating weekends required), personal integrity, and
CMA Qualifications :
- Must have a current State CMA
- Must obtain a current BLS CPR card
