Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant ensures patients' safety, well-being, and comfort. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Communicates with patients, their families, and other care providers. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements
- Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Compassion towards residents and their families
Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities
- Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
- Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
- Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
- Other duties as assigned
Pay Scale: $19 - $21 / hour
Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
