Esterbrooks Certified Public Accountants, a well-established CPA firm with offices in Duluth and Superior is seeking a CPA or CPA candidate with 0-5 years of accounting experience, with growth potential. The position will assist with audit engagements and provide other accounting services for a variety of local nonprofits and small businesses. Requires a four-year degree in accounting with education requirements for CPA certification. Ideal candidates should be proficient with technology, detailed orientated and organized. Responsibilities:

Learns and correctly applies the risk-based audit approach and related assertions.

• Performs audit and review procedures including performing substantive test and test of internal controls.
• Drafting financial statements with disclosures and tax filings.
• Utilizes and develops a basic understanding, leading to a working knowledge of, various software programs.
• Applies problem solving and analytical skills to interpret and evaluate information and ensures the client’s explanations are appropriately documented.
