Located in and around scenic Grays Harbor and Pacific County. Individuals will be responsible for working with the hospice team of health care providers and providing support for our hospice patients and their families.
The Chaplain is a full member of the healthcare team who provides the pastoral needs of our patients, caregivers/families, and our staff.
This position assumes responsibility for providing counseling to individuals and families requiring emotional and spiritual assistance/support, assists patients and families to understand life’s events as they relate to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
Provides general and individualized spiritual support services for patients in need of support in the dying process.
Requires:
Completion of a theological program in pastoral care preferred
strong understanding of pastoral care in different cultures
Experience working with death & dying
Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values
strong interpersonal and public relations abilities
WA State drivers license, dependable vehicle with insurance
Great supportive team environment
Paid travel time and mileage reimbursement
