Chemical Dependency Counselor runs individual, family, and group counseling for patients in chemical dependency programs. Acts as mediator between patients, relatives, medical staff, and outside agencies if needed. Being a Chemical Dependency Counselor tracks patient progress and dispensation of treatment services. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent; meets the standards for Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification Board, or other appropriate certification. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Counselor typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Chemical Dependency Counselor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The Counselor provides substance abuse counseling and case management including assessment, treatment, and aftercare planning in accordance with established performance standards. It is essential that this person contributes as a team member to produce an environment conducive to the successful treatment of patients.
Rate of Pay : $20.00 per hour, with enhanced shift and weekend differentials.
Shift : 12:00pm to 8:00pm, to include rotating weekends. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week opportunity.
