We are currently looking for an experienced In-House Drayage Broker to join our team.
The In-House Drayage Broker is primarily responsible for the generation of ongoing business for our drayage division by means of lead qualification, generating quotations, and closing agreements.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in drayage sales, excellent communication, and negotiation; with a background in shipping containers, drayage, import/export, working with ocean lines, freight forwarders, and beneficial cargo owners.
Responsibilities
· Expanding our customer base and increasing revenues of our drayage and transloading services.
· Contact potential customers to introduce our drayage and transloading services.
· Build relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, brokers, and other potential customers.
· Ability to interpret customer shipping data, needs, and requirements to provide the best solutions.
· Negotiate pricing.
Qualifications
· 5 years of experience in Import/Export logistics sales with a strong focus on port drayage operations.
· Strong verbal and written communications, as well as negotiation skills.
· Skilled in Microsoft Excel applications.
· Organized and detail oriented.
· Effective at developing solid inter-company relationships.
