Chemical Technician determines the physical and chemical properties of compounds and materials using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis. Performs a variety of chemical tests using instrumental methods and standard test equipment. Being a Chemical Technician prepares materials for laboratory examination and conducts quality, safety, and compliance assessments. Follows established SOPs. Additionally, Chemical Technician sets up and maintains lab equipment. Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results. Requires an associate degree in chemistry, science or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Chemical Technician works under moderate supervision. Rotating Schedule. – Must be able to work Days and Night Shift (6:30am (PM) – 7:00pm (AM))
12-hour shifts with alternating days off, and rotate between night and day shifts every 12 weeks
Pay for this role is $25.00 hourly plus $4.00 for shift differential when on night rotation
Chemical Manufacturing Operator follows established procedures to manufacture chemical intermediates and finished products. The Operator follows procedures that are set forth in the form of batch records and work instructions. This person completes a variety of duties: in addition to operating chemical processes, the employee may perform setup, cleaning of equipment, waste disposal, emergency response, warehouse activities, maintenance, and clean-up activities needed to facilitate general operations and regulatory compliance.

The job requires frequent work outside in all weather for short periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push, roll and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee will be working in areas that requires the use of PPE including a respirator
