3Z Brands is seeking an Arizona based, professional Assistant Chemist for our Foam Pour operations team.

The Assistant Chemist will join forces with the Foam Pour operations team to manufacture foam for our industry leading 3Z brands products. You will be on the front lines of foam pour production and immerse yourself in the daily foam pour operations to inspire top quality production.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up foam machine prior to production
• Assist with startup of production process
• Run HMI and assist Chemist during production
• Assist Chemist in identifying process upsets and defects in material during production
• Keep trough clean during production
• Assist with Bulk Chemical Unloading when not running production
• Assist with chemical scheduling
• Fill Day Tanks before and during production run
• Make trough Liners
• Help Maintain Foam machine during downtime
• Produce foam to given specifications and maintain department records (production, quality,
• etc).
• Assist with department team member training
• Champion a culture of safety and care for our manufacturing team.

Knowledge/Experience

• Wonderware
• Use of HMI (Human Machine Interface)
• Experience working with Polyurethane Foam Production line
• Knowledge of handling of Isocyanates
• Mechanical experience with pumps chemical handling and process equipment. Ability to do
• small repairs and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with computers, Word, Excel etc.

• Ability to work in manufacturing environment Not sensitive to TDI (Isocyantes)
• Partner: you effectively listen, collaborate, build rapport and communicate at all levels; you’re confident sharing ideas and are a trusted advisor for foam pour
• Focused: work efforts are focused on meeting or exceeding goals, and pave the way for efficiency
• Programmatic: able to identify the system component that is causing the error, as well as the options available for resolving it and completing the task
• Results-driven: you know how to make an impact and deliver results that inspire and influence the broader team
• Versatile: ability to work a flexible schedule; you see the big picture and don’t get overwhelmed easily; you enjoy working on issues and have a knack for driving results in hyper-growth, constantly changing environments
• Bi-Lingual a plus
