The Chemist Bar at 109 High Street, Boston is seeking a Host/Hostess for its lounge.

Job Description

• You will be the first person the guest sees or talks to, and you will be the face of the operation.
• You will be seating guests while also accommodating any needs they have (certain seating, coats etc.)
• You will control the seating of guests and hence the tempo and flow of the restaurant.
• You will oversee reservations and answering the phone and accommodating callers as needed.
• You will collaborate with servers to ensure smooth guest service

What we offer

• 6 hour shifts, Tuesday -Saturday
• Competitive wages: $16-$18/hour depending on experience

Requirements

• 1 year experience in hospitality or related field
• Friendly and customer-oriented
• Computer skills
• Ability to read a room.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to take reservations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week
