RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chief Nursing Officer, serving as the Director of Nursing, holds primary accountability for the quality of nursing care and related patient care services. Provides the clinical and administrative leadership and direction for the patient care services and facilitates the development, implementation, and evaluation of these services. Serves as Assistant Administrator in absence of Administrator/CEO. Provides leadership using process excellence methodologies through collaborations with primary customer groups.
HOURS:
Full-time, exempt position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa. Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or Business preferred. A minimum of five years clinical nursing practice, two years of experience as a clinical nurse manager, nursing supervisor, or similar nursing administration experience is required. Progressive clinical and administrative experiences which demonstrate success in nursing. Excellent communication skills, including public speaking skills and written skills. Advanced skills in clinical nursing practice and nursing administration.
