Therefore, we work closely with key figures from the scene like DJ Khaled, our Chief Creative Officer. Overview: Reporting to the President of SNIPES USA, the Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for driving overall brand strategy and has ownership in development, implementation and evolution of the marketing function, including brand awareness, agency and influencer relationships, content creation, events, social media presence, community impact programs, budget management and team development.
Responsibilities
Brand Awareness and Strategy
- Strategic Brand Stewardship: Lead SNIPES’ brand identity and storytelling, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand presence across all channels—retail, digital, and mobile. Ensure SNIPES' brand resonates authentically with diverse audiences, driving affinity and long-term loyalty.
- National and Local Market Leadership: Drive hyper-local and national marketing initiatives that increase foot traffic, boost brand awareness, and maximize conversion rates. Identify and capitalize on market-specific trends, ensuring SNIPES remains relevant and competitive in each market.
- Holistic Budget Management: Oversee a substantial marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support the company’s strategic priorities. Demonstrate strong fiscal responsibility and the ability to optimize spend for maximum impact.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use advanced data analytics and KPIs to rigorously assess marketing performance and refine strategies. Foster a culture of data-informed decisions within the team, driving continuous improvement and ROI optimization.
- High-Stakes Negotiation and Partnership: Lead negotiations for contracts exceeding $1 million, securing favorable terms that support SNIPES' long-term growth. Manage relationships with high-value partners and vendors to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Innovative Store Opening Strategy: Oversee a high-impact strategy for new store openings, delivering extraordinary customer experiences and maximizing launch visibility and sales.
- Comprehensive Campaign Calendar: Develop a well-rounded marketing calendar that integrates hyper-local events, vendor campaigns, in-store promotions, and SNIPES-led brand initiatives. Prioritize a mix of activities that sustain brand momentum and drive engagement.
Community and Culture
- Community and Partner Engagement: Actively build and maintain relationships with local communities and strategic partners through unique events and promotions that reflect SNIPES' commitment to cultural relevance and community support.
- Strategic Partnerships Network: Establish and nurture high-value partnerships in nonprofit, fashion, entertainment, and sports sectors, enhancing SNIPES’ reach and brand image within these key verticals.
- Integrated Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional marketing team that includes creative, account management, artist management, and community impact. Ensure all teams contribute to a unified brand message and deliver impactful, aligned campaigns.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent SNIPES as the face of the brand, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and potential partners. Leverage executive presence to open doors and create new opportunities for SNIPES.
- Artist Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with artists, ensuring they align with and amplify SNIPES’ brand values. Drive initiatives that expand the brand’s cultural footprint and foster connections with the artistic community.
Executive Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Visionary Team Leadership: Build and inspire a high-performing team across community engagement, brand activation, creative, and social media. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and results-driven performance.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Store Operations, and Digital teams to create a seamless, customer-focused experience across channels. Act as a bridge between departments, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated approach to brand strategy.
- Executive Presence and Influence: As a core member of the executive team, shape company strategy beyond marketing, providing insights and recommendations that drive SNIPES’ growth and success. Take ownership of high-impact company initiatives and influence key organizational decisions.
- Growth Strategy Leadership: Play a pivotal role in crafting and executing SNIPES' growth strategy in the U.S., including market expansion, brand differentiation, and new revenue streams. Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on brand-related matters.
- Global Brand Alignment: Work closely with the EU marketing team to ensure a unified brand identity worldwide. Lead global initiatives and best practice sharing, with occasional international travel to support global alignment.
Loyalty Program Leadership
- Loyalty Program Architect: Spearhead the development and implementation of SNIPES’ loyalty program, defining its strategic direction and growth plan. Collaborate across departments to create a best-in-class program that enhances customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in marketing, Communications or relevant field with 7 years of executive marketing experience
- Strong technical competencies, expert at developing and delivering marketing and communication strategies
- Passion and understanding of urban streetwear and sneaker culture
- Understanding of our customer through their lens
- Experience in project management software such as Monday.com, etc. (any other systems or software)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and business software
- Forward-thinking with the ability to constantly create exciting marketing experiences
- Advanced interpersonal communication skillset

Special Requirements
- 30% Domestic travel with occasional weekends and occasional international travel required
