Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief executive officer (CEO) or chief operating officer (COO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. The location is about 1h 30m West of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing and implementing the hospital’s financial plan and for implementing accounting and budgeting policies.
- Develop and implement organization’s financial budget activities to fund operation, maximize investments, or increase
efficiency - Coordinate the development or implementation of budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, or other
administrative control processes. - Coordinate annual audits and cost report preparations with firms chosen by the hospital to perform such audits.
- Provides financial leadership and guidance to facility managers, trains managers on financial matters and provides feedback
regarding department performance. - Provides guidance and assists the CEO in ensuring the facility is staffed appropriately and that productivity goals are met.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS.- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5 years’ experience leading a Finance Department
- 5 years’ experience in hospital setting
