Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. The Chief Financial Officer oversees all financial matters for Greenville Water, including accounting, comprehensive financial reporting, cash management, investment, budget preparation and monitoring, purchasing, inventory control, fixed assets functions, rate setting, negotiating wholesale contracts and bond sales, internal and external audit requirements, compliance and treasury functions, in accordance with legal, ethical, and financial policy guidelines and best practices and in accordance with organizational and operational objectives specified in Greenville Water's Strategic Plan. The Chief Financial Officer also provides oversight to Business Services. This position provides significant input in determining and implementing policy, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other relevant field, supplemented by ten (10) years of extensive and progressively responsible management experience as a CFO in a water utility or governmental industry and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. MBA or MPA Degree preferred. Requires a valid driver's license.
