Chief Financial Officer jobs in Iowa
Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief executive officer (CEO) or chief operating officer (COO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an executive leader responsible for all the functions related to the financial operations of Buchanan County Health Center (BCHC). These responsibilities include organizational accounting, financial systems, external financial reporting, and internal auditing. EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, finance, or accounting required.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated effectiveness of leadership generally developed with experience of oversight of staff and or managers in a financial field.

Competencies include financial analysis, accounting, financial/accounting systems, internal controls, auditing, and policy management.

Prefer critical access knowledge or healthcare knowledge.
