Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief executive officer (CEO) or chief operating officer (COO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization.     • Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in accounting or finance, with an active CPA license.
    • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in non-profit organizations.
    • Expertise in nonprofit accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
    • Proven track record in managing state and federal grants, ideally with experience in HRSA grants.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
