Chief of Surgery jobs in Oklahoma

A bit about the position: Promotes and restores patients' health for H/K/B patients by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

What you can expect in the role:

• Developing and implementing nursing care plans for surgical patients.
• Be available to answer any patient questions in person or by phone.
• Establish good patient rapport and trust.
• Present during consultations.
• Coordinate clinic flow.
• Resolves patient problems and needs.
• Prepare prescriptions in electronic system for surgeon approval.
• Inventory awareness/supply ordering/room stocking.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Assist surgeon with in-office procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of plastic surgical procedures with the ability to explain to patients.
• Accurate medical records/charting of post op visits.
• Adhere to all state and federal medical office requirements, i.e. HIPAA and OSHA.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• At least 1 year private office RN experience.
• Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Current RN license in the state of Oklahoma required.
• Plastic surgery experience preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite and EMR system. Nextech EMR a plus.
• Effective written and verbal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Social Media experience is a plus.
