Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor, the Radiologic Technologist will perform a variety of imaging procedures using standards, portable, and/or specialized radiology equipment. The Radiologic Technologist must be able to perform C-arm procedures in the operating room, will work within the pain clinic, and also provide special procedure injections and fluoroscopy procedures. This position does require on-call coverage and there may be holiday shift requirements. There are multiple shift options available including day, evening, and night shifts.
