Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees radiologic services, maintains technical aspects of radiologic safety and evaluates accuracy and quality of X-rays. Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests for radiologic services. Being a Chief Radiologic Technologist recommends new equipment, equipment modification, and crucial construction within the department. May perform duties of radiologic technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Radiologic Technologist requires an associate degree in radiology. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - (R). Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager or director. The Chief Radiologic Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Radiologic Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Join our team as a Radiology Technologist (RT). In the Radiology Technologist role you will:

    • Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
    • Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards of safe radiation practice.
    • Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists.
    • Act as a clinical resource to students, staff technologist and other hospital personnel.
    • Assure current standards of practice for the unit.

    Qualifications

    In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

    • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as required
    • One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
    • HS diploma or GED required
    • Registered Technologist, Radiology-R.T. (R) (ARRT) required
    • Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required

    Physical Requirements-Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly
