    We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead our IT department, overseeing all aspects including proprietary software development, database administration, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business systems. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of current technologies, including cloud and native architecture, as well as expertise in software development and management, with proficiency in. NET and SQL technologies. Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable. The Chief Technology Officer will play a pivotal role in driving technological innovation and ensuring the efficient operation of our IT infrastructure. The position can be located in either Wilkes-Barre, PA, Philadelphia, PA or Parsippany, NJ.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides thought leadership and counsel to COO and executive leaders to execute on a strategic plan, building IT strategic value and IT capabilities as a driver of the future
    • Responsible for strategic planning for technology infrastructure, information system assets, data management, and enterprise security
    • Responsible for the security, availability, scalability and resiliency of the organization’s data and IT assets
    • Establish the objectives for operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the IT systems and a plan for continuous improvement of the service levels
    • Provide expertise and leadership in the selection and management of vendors to provide low-cost, high-efficiency solutions
    • Based on business requirements, identifies new technology applications and platforms to support corporate growth and scalability; managing all new implementations and change management activities
    • Oversees internal and contracted IT staff, building redundancy and succession planning into the organization
    • Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, and communications needs
    • Develops and manages all technology budgets and forecasts
    • Ensures compliance with regulatory and government regulations that apply to systems operations and the insurance industry

    Qualifications

    • MBA or relevant advanced degree; Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant area
    • 15 years of related experience
    • 5-10 years of experience with IT leadership roles across several functional areas of IT
    • Demonstrated leadership success in cross-functional projects that required building alliances and fostering cooperation and collaboration among different parts of the business. Demonstrated collaborative and leadership skills to foster strong relationships around the organization to gain business insight on technology needs and manage expectations around IT support of those needs
    • Strong foundation knowledge of core IT verticals and how to maximize the value of each division (PMO, Infrastructure, Info Sec, Applications, Service Desk, Administration)
    • Solid technical understanding of technology architecture – compute, storage, networking, voice, mobile, app development, security
    • Extensive proficiency in cyber security risk programs, industry standards, and best practices is essential.
    • Complex IT project management understanding and skill set
    • Highly proactive and results-oriented with excellent critical thinking skills

     

     

    Salary Range: 240,000.00.00-$310,000.00 USD with performance-based bonus potential

    The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3-4 days per week and also be available for travel as required.

    The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
