SCHEDULE

FTE: 1.0,1st shift, M-F, No Call.  ARDMS Certified.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Performs high quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, accurate operation of equipment and technical factors, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education, Experience, and Training
   1. Must have successfully completed accredited Ultrasound Technology training from a American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved program and be registered (or eligible for registry) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
   2. Must possess the following certifications, based on skill set:

• Ultrasound Technologist must possess or obtain certification in Physics and either OB/GYN or Abdomen within 24 months post Ultrasound education.  Must obtain certification in second modality within 36 months.
• On call technologists must arrive within 20 minutes, plus drive time, of receiving initial notification.
  1. Previous experience in area of licensure is preferred.
  2. Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.
  3. Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.

1. Physical Requirements
   1. Sitting – Approximately 25% of shift.
   2. Standing– Approximately 50% of shift.
   3. Walking – Approximately 25% of shift.
   4. Lifting – Approximately 35 pounds. Must use, and require staff to use, when in hospital and pre-hospital settings, proper body mechanics and ergonomics and, as applicable, lifting/moving devices.
   5. Twisting – Infrequent.
   6. Bending – Moderate.
   7. Squat/Kneel – Occasionally less than 25% of shift.
