Child Care Teacher jobs in Portland, ME

We are looking for a nurturing and energetic presence to step into our joyful and silly Toddler classroom. With lots of oppurtunities for outdoor time, lots of space, and a pleasant staff, this is a great position for any childcare professional with a passion for early childhood development. Job duties include:

- Caring for 8-10 toddlers (with an assistant or co-teacher) throughout the day (diapering, napping, serving meals, carrying out the daily schedule and curriculum etc.)

- Nurturing and supporting toddlers through songs, books, toys, cuddles, play etc.

-Organizing and cleaning the classroom throughout the day.

-Communicating with other staff members and the director.

-Communicating with families.

This individual should have knowledge of early childhood education but does not need a degree. If they are intersted in a degree, DaVinci fully supports and in some situations helps pay for this continuing education.

Ideally we are looking for a full time teacher Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30, but can be flexible and even accommodate a part time schedule as well.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
