    Position Details

    What you will do?

    As the Program Manager you will be responsible for the ongoing operations of a direct care unit of child welfare clients.   Activities include general program management, project supervision, personnel supervision, development of the team, documentation, ensuring responsible work performance of staff, and support of agency/program mission and values.

     

    • Defines program policies and procedures, including admission criteria, operational standards, coordinates educational and community  programming standards and discharge criteria.
    • Supervises staff on quality and timeliness of service provision and documentation.
    • Supervises staff of case progress and outcomes.
    • Coordinates and meets with community and collateral agencies.
    • Manages program revenues and expenditures to achieve fiscal targets.
    • Monitors regulatory, licensing, certification and accreditation standards to assure compliance.
    • Assures accurate and timely completion of documentation and reports.
    • Develops and implements new products.
    • Uses data to continuously improve program operations, service delivery quality, and program efficiencies.
    • Performs a range of functions, including hiring, establishing expectations, performance tracking and feedback, and employee relations.
    • Develops and leads a cohesive team in support of agency mission, goals and values.
    • Directs all work from assigned area to assure that unit goals are achieved.
    • Interprets operational policies and procedures for assigned staff.
    • Completes probationary and annual employee performance reviews within timelines.
    • Identifies and resolves barriers to achieving performance goal attainment.

    Qualifications


    Qualifications and Skills:

    You need a BA in Social Work, Psychology or a related field plus five years relevant experience in service delivery OR a BA in 3 years of supervised experience OR six years of supervised child welfare experience in residential care OR a combination of advanced education in a related field and experience equal to six years of related work in the field. 

    Additional requirements include:

    • Able to be self driven/reliant and work independently as well as part of a team
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to show empathy/compassion to build trust-based relationships
