Child Life Specialist is responsible for the design and implementation of pediatric programs, therapies, and activities among young patients. Works with families to assist in caring for childhood hospitalizations or disabilities. Being a Child Life Specialist monitors child development to ensure normal progression. Provides in-depth care as needed to more urgent cases. Additionally, Child Life Specialist may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Onboarding Specialist

  • The Onboarding Specialist will play a pivotal role in welcoming new talent, ensuring compliance, and sourcing top candidates. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, including managing the onboarding process, overseeing credentialing, and contributing to recruitment efforts.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and 2-3 years of HR experience is required
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    Responsibilities:
    The following responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the agency’s needs.

    Administrative

    • Send contingent and official offer letters to candidates
    • Conduct thorough background checks on potential candidates, including criminal history, employment verification, education verification, and other relevant checks
    • Communicate with new hires to collect required paperwork and information, guiding them through the onboarding process with clarity and professionalism
    • Create/maintain new employee personnel files
    • Referral and Sign-On Bonus administration
    • Coordinate annual Staff Appreciation/Years of Service awards/gifts
    • Prepare new hire orientation folders
    • Resignation Acceptance Letters and Exit Interview scheduling

    Credentialing

    • Assist clinical staff with completion of credentialing applications, CAQH profiles and credentialing renewals
    • Maintain credentialing files/spreadsheets and submission of credentialing applications for clinical staff
    • Communicate with insurance contacts regularly for updates on applications and credentialing status of clinical staff
    • Maintain, monitor and submit insurance credentialing rosters
    • Work collaboratively with the billing department to ensure credentialing process is up-to-date and clinical staff are credentialed with appropriate insurance companies

    Recruitment

    • Supports recruitment on as needed basis
    • Conduct employment screenings with qualified applicants for open positions
    • Completes write-up of candidates’ screenings and forward to hiring managers for review
    • Provide a positive and professional experience for candidates at every touch point
    • Attends job fairs and other events to promote agency in the various communities we serve
