Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of civil engineers who design and develop construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Reviews and analyzes the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects. Being a Civil Engineering Supervisor ensures maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety prevention measures. Monitors personnel needs and schedules staff accordingly. Additionally, Civil Engineering Supervisor also responsible for preparing proposals, establishing completion dates and cost estimates, and evaluation results. Supervises inspections of aging or compromised structures and improvement projects. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Requires Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager. The Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Civil Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Responsibilities & Qualifications

    • Directs the preparation, tracking and submission of the project and program deliverables.

    • Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, maintaining schedules, meeting budget objectives, communicating and meeting deadlines.

    • Build strong client relationships and gain repeat business.

    • Maintain and expand existing business relationships in the East Region Aviation market.

    • Contributes to winning aviation terminal, airside and/or landside projects as Project Manager or key team member. Assumes the financial, staffing, scope and schedule management responsibilities of that role.

    • Serves as client contact. Negotiates fees and contracts; manages expectations; and assures client satisfaction related to projects.

    • Develop action plans for the Engineering group, with tactical plans for targeted pursuits. Specify and achieve target sales goals within designated marketplace.

    • Lead the proposal preparation effort for aviation projects and attend interviews, working with Regional Marketing and Technical staff.

    • Regularly travels to meet and interact with prospective teaming partners and clients.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or closely-related field

    • Professional Engineer license in the State of New York or New Jersey is preferred.

    • 12 years of relevant experience in the industry.

    • Track record of developing new clients, winning work, and maintaining positive client relationships.

    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.

    • Well-developed negotiation, proposal and project management skills.

    • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

    • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

    • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
