Responsibilities

To provide administrative and technical support to the P&C claims team.  Assist in the quality control of claims data and financial entries to meet all internal and client guidelines and requirements.

• Train and support new/current staff with FNOL tasks, general office duties, department systems, software, and equipment
• Verify and manage daily acknowledgement letters, deductible invoices, and open & closed claim reports
• Audit claims financial and deductible data for accuracy and correct as needed
• Process incoming and outgoing live checks including recoveries, reimbursements, and fee transactions
• Support adjusters, supervisors, internal auditors, and clients with financial/claim tasks
• Maintain restitution, reinsurance and check disposition logs
• Generate and audit financial and claims reports
• Perform periodic testing as needed for new systems, upgrades, and enhancements
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external customer service inquiries

May perform other functions as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Experience preferred in the insurance, finance or other related industry
• Basic accounting knowledge/skills preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills
• General knowledge of insurance terminology
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel (or comparable spreadsheet applications),
• Strong organization skills and ability to work independently
