FUNCTION:  Assist the secretary and supervisor of the Transportation Department in day to day clerical functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

Performs reception duties with the public and staff;

Answers telephones, responds to inquiries or routes calls to the appropriate person;

Operates office machines;

Orders/ maintain adequate supplies for the operation of the office;

Records and follows up on purchase orders for the departments;

Records/compiles mechanical repair tickets for all vehicles;

Maintains department files;

Records/maintains records for all transportation and maintenance department vehicles and equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

None.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate/GED; clerical skills, typing, filing, computer knowledge.
