    The Hospital Coding Specialist will report directly to the HIM Manager. Supported by supervisors as well as a large team of EHR specialists, analysts and Patient Account Representatives, this person will play a key role in the success of the HIM Department.

    The Hospital Coding Specialist will play a crucial role in coding inpatient medical records. They must be able to collaborate with all levels of the facility to ensure opportunities and recommendations for appropriate coding. The Hospital Coding Specialist will be a change agent by monitoring and reporting any trends or discrepancies that arise. The ideal candidate will be coding specialist certified or have their RHIA or RHIT.

    The Las Vegas area is known for its lively energy and so much more than just “The Strip”. This area is also home of the Grand Canyon, with hiking trails and recreational areas if the Hospital Coding Specialist is someone who loves nature and the outdoors.
