Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Surgery Center Director of Nursing will have the opportunity to work on a beautiful campus that offers general anesthesia to pediatric patients among other services. The Director of Nursing will be joining a facility with two Operating Rooms with an average daily case volume of eight daily cases, and is AAAHC Certified. This Director of Nursing will have oversight of a skilled and tight-knit team of Registered Nurses, technicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
This Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a motivated nursing leader that has previous clinical leadership experience will make for quick interviews. The Surgery Center Director of Nursing will be responsible for credentialing, scheduling, and serving as a mentor to RN’s and other clinical support staff.
