Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Key Responsibilities:
    Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs and initiatives for nursing staff.
    Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify learning needs and performance gaps.
    Facilitate hands-on training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
    Collaborate with nursing leadership to support clinical excellence and adherence to best practices.
    Monitor and ensure compliance with continuing education and certification requirements.
    Lead orientation programs for new hires and ongoing support for staff development.


    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree preferred.
    Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a teaching or educator role.
    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    Strong organizational abilities and a passion for teaching and mentorship.
